Xona is looking for a Sr. RF Engineer with experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting space systems at both a prototype and flight level. You will have great responsibility and autonomy in developing a critical set of components for the payload from signal generation to output at the antenna. This involves working with other members of the team to define the architecture, design, parts selection, and testing approaches of RF components such as antennas and amplifiers. As we progress towards the first launch you’ll play an important role in validating the payload for flight to see your work make it to space!
Desired Qualifications (not all are expected)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
3+ years professional experience working in RF systems including design and testing of RF circuits, amplifiers, filters, and antennas, etc.
Familiarity with industry standard EM simulation tools (e.g. HFSS, Microwave Studio, COMSOL)
Strong knowledge in RF subsystems from signal generation to output on satellite systems
Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium or Eagle
Experience with software defined radios
Experience with embedded hardware and software, microcontrollers, communication protocols, and real-time operating systems
All candidates must be either a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) due to U.S. export control regulations.
